Ink Cartridge Errors

The printer will not print, and if any of the following error messages exhibit on the computer screen:

  • Mismatched Cartridges
  • Cartridges Misplaced

One or both of the Ink Level icons on the printer control panel are intermittent, and the Ink Alert light is on or irregular.

Step 1: Ensure the ink cartridges are well-matched

  12. Recap these steps to wipe and then reinsert the other ink cartridge.
  13. Shut the ink cartridge access door.
  14. Rejoin the power cord or USB cable to the printer, if required.
  15. Switch on the printer if it does not power on mechanically.
