Unboxing Setup

Setting up your HP DeskJet 2130 involves unpacking the printer, connecting the power cord, installing the ink cartridges, loading paper into the input tray, aligning the cartridges and installing the software.

  • Once you have unboxed the printer and removed all shipping restraints, connect the printer to a power source with the help of the power cord. Next, install the ink cartridges.
  • Hold the handle and draw out the ink cartridge access door. The carriage shifts to the middle When the printer is quiet and inactive, proceed further. Unpack the ink cartridges and insert them in their designated slots and close the ink cartridge access door.
  • Place paper into the input tray. Once you load the paper, the printer prints an alignment page. Raise the scanner lid. Put the alignment page with its print side facing down on the scanner glass. Position it with the help of the inscription around the glass.
  • Shut the scanner lid. Push Start Copy Black or Start Copy Color button on the control panel of the printer. The printer will align the ink cartridges. Download and install the full feature printer driver and software to complete the set up.

Duplex Printing

Before beginning your two-sided or duplex print job, make sure that there is enough blank paper in the input tray. This prevents page ordering issues.

Windows

  • Open the document you wish to print, choose File, then select Print. Choose DeskJet 2130, then select Printer Properties, Preferences, or Printer Setup, based on what appears.
  • Access the Two-sided option or Print on both sides of the option from the printing shortcut tab. If the printing shortcut tab is unavailable, access it form the Layout, Feature or Finishing tab.
  • Choose a binding or page flip option according to your need and select OK, and then choose Print. Take out the one-sided print outs, and then tap the stack on a flat surface to arrange the paper.
  • Place the first side pages into the input tray. For the rear loading printer, flip the pages over so that the printed side is pointing down, and insert the short edge into the printer.

Mac

  • Open the document you wish to print, choose File, select Print, and then choose Show Details if required.
  • Choose Paper handling from the unlabeled menu in the middle of the window, and then choose Odd only from the Pages to Print menu.
  • In the page order menu, choose Automatic. And then, Select Print. Once all pages are printed, take the printed pages and tap them on a flat surface to align it. Remove any blank paper from the input tray.
  • Flip the pages over with the print side facing downward. If you want a booklet reading format, insert the pages top edge down. If you want a tablet format, insert the pages top edge up.
  • Go back to the print menu and choose Even Only from the pages to Print menu. Choose Automatic from the Page order menu. And then, Choose Print.

HP Deskjet 2130 Copy

The copy function of your HP DeskJet 2130 lets you make a copy from the document or photo you place under the scanner glass. Place blank or photo paper in the input tray prior to starting your copy job.

How to Copy
